The Galena Area Emergency Medical Service District is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit, volunteer, BLS emergency response ambulance service organized in 1978. Currently, we serve nine townships and three municipalities centered around historic Galena, Illinois.
Our volunteer men and women come from all walks of life and education. Their expertise covers the range of drivers through paramedics. We make every effort to provide each member with the latest and most up to date training.
